Position Summary

A cross-functional leadership role responsible for optimizing the hospital-wide pharmacy supply chain, driving financial performance through revenue integrity, and leading digital pharmacy transformations. This position acts as the primary clinical stakeholder for IT and Finance to eliminate medication leakage, maximize profitability, and ensure seamless medication availability.

Summary of Main Duties

  • Oversee and analyze medication and consumable stock levels across all hospital pharmacies, wards, and automated dispensing units
  • Utilize advanced data analytics to forecast demand, prevent stockouts, and implement strategies to minimize overstocking and expiry waste.
  • Lead the integration and optimization between ERP/Inventory and HIS/Clinical to ensure data accuracy and seamless billing.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary clinical stakeholder for new IT implementations, barcoding initiatives, and automation upgrades.
  • Assist in analyzing the financial impact of transitioning from brand to generic drugs and national procurement programs.

Work with the Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) team to minimize insurance rejections and technical denials

Position Requirements/Qualifications

Education: BSc in Pharmacy (minimum) from an accredited institution. (MBA or Health Informatics certification preferred).

Experience: At least 5 years of hospital experience, including a minimum of 2 years in a dedicated analytical or informatics role.

  • Currently licensed as a Pharmacist with a Professional Organization in country of origin.

UAE Ministry of Health License (required no later than within initial three months of employment).
