Position Summary
Responsible for assisting in interpreting, defining, implementing, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating and reporting as a field wide authority, the Quality Improvement and Patient safety Program for the Organization and the Organization's adherence to the regulatory requirements and Joint Commission International Accreditation Hospital Standards
Summary of Main Duties
• Assists in the day to day Quality activities like preparing and maintaining reports, analysis and documentation.
• Co-ordinates with other departments in carrying out Quality related activities.
• Has oversight and brief understanding of the standards, measurable elements and intents of the JCI.
• Maintains continuous knowledge and understanding of JCIA functions and standards.
• Assisting in Developing UHS Quality Improvement Program
• Participating effectively in Implementing & the follow up of Q.I. Activities.
• Orchestrating Quality Improvement Initiatives & Activities Hospital-Wide.
• Acts as a Member of the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Committee
• Participates in Quality improvement projects.
• Maintains all necessary records pertinent to the JCI process.
• Facilitates Quality Improvement meetings.
• Maintains records of policies, procedures, guidelines, forms and other documents and ensures the circulation of current documents and the de-circulation of expired documents.
• Maintains records of all Quality Assurance activities.
• Provides educational and technical assistance to committees and departments in meeting their Quality Assurance objectives.
• Performs administrative responsibilities.
• Justifies need for training in Quality Assurance processes and methods and either works with appropriate groups to initiate training or teaches in areas of expertise.
• Coordinates and assists all regulatory and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals compliance activities and participates in the survey process.
• Oversees the management of clinical events , co-ordinates with Physicians and others concerned , participates in meeetings , analysis and generates reports.

Position Requirements/Qualifications
• A Qualification in healthcare field and experience in Quality Management and accreditation of minimum 2 years. Certification in healthcare quality preferred.
• Must be well versed with the Computer Skills ( Word and Excel)
• Excellent command of oral and written English.
• Responsibility for own continued professional growth beyond minimum preparation.
